The rare piece features a young, green-eyed girl walking seven dogs. Many hallmarks are impressed on the bottom (see photos); there is also the Lladro blue bellflower and Daisa date. The sculpture is in MINT condition.
The Lladro company was founded in 1953 by three brothers, Juan, José and Vicente Lladro, in the village of Almà ssera near Valencia. Starting with items such as vases and jugs, it wasn't until 1956 that they began producing the sculptures for which they are now most famous. An exquisite, delightful and fragile!
