Lladro Dog Porcelain Lhasa Apso/shitzu Rare Glazed Figurine # 4642 Mint
Exquisite piece of a standing Companion Dog figurine designed by LLADRO sculptor Salvador Furió. Issued in 1969 with the Spanish name Mostachos and retired in 1981. 5.50 in tall x 7.2 in wide (18 x 14 cm); has stunning details and wonderful hand painting. This was the first of the Tibetan breeds to have been recognized by the AKC (American Kennel Club) in 1935. The present of a Lhasa Apso was a traditional gift of the Dalai Lama. Mint condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or fading. Has the LLadro blue tulip logo stamp hand made in Spain on the bottom and will be a marvelous gift or a great addition to your collection.
