Large Hispania Daisa Lladro Retired Sitting Chihuahua Dog Figurine

Large Hispania Spain "Sitting Chihuahua" dog figurine. He measures 19 1/2 tall and weighs 5 lbs. Stamped with the Hispania stamp on the bottom.

Hispania was one of several companies with which the Lladro brothers were associated with beginning in the 1940's. Under Lladro's ownership, the Hispania corp included several large animals, including the "Sitting Chihuahua". These larger animals are very beautiful, but hard to come by as they are extremely fragile.

This is an extremely hard to find piece that I was fortunate enough to come across at a local estate sale. It is an older style ceramic that was used on these figurines, and they are extremely fragile even under the greatest of care. I would once again recommend picking this item up.
