Aish company called Lladro has specialized in capturing these sentimental moments since it was founded in 1953 by three brothers.

Juan, José and Vicente Lladró. Made their first creations in a Moorsh furnace built in their own home in Almàssera (Valencia), Spain. The brothers experimented with porcelain in-between running their familys tile and crockery factory. In 1958 Juan, José and Vicente decided to dedicate themselves exclusively to their own works and transferred their small company to a warehouse in the neighboring town of Tavernes Blanques, because the family workshop had become too small for their business. Their works grew in popularity and by the time our friends were designed by Juan Huerta and brought into production in 1987, they were acknowledged leaders in the world of fine porcelain.

We bought our "Not So Fast" at an estate sale in my neighborhood. She stands 8 1/2 tall and is approximately 4 wide. She has had a single owner who treasured all her Lladro and left them in pristine condition. Theres not a chip, crack, or any other damage.

Unfortunately, that love did not include keeping the boxes. She bought Lladro for the joy she took in its beauty and artistry, not as an investment for resale. Is no longer in production and you will be hard put to find her at any price.
